"While we try to teach children all about life,
Children teach us what life is all about."
~Angela Schwindt

First off, teaching Kindergarten is not simply a "cute" job that involves playing games and rolling on the carpet for 2.5 hours, 5 days a week. Kindergarten consists of building a foundation rather than Legos and entertaining life skills rather than babysitting. While working my way through my first year of teaching, I am learning that 5 year-olds are the prime examples of what I want to be when I grow up. They are full of trust, love, compassion, innocence and honesty. Through teaching these 40 individual minds, I am being taught lessons that affect my values, daily inspiration and sources of happiness. These children are a wonderful joy in my life and an excellent form of birth-control.
